Key Features:

  • Recommended bed temperature: Achieve optimal results with a bed temperature of ≥60°C to ensure excellent adhesion and stability when printing.

  • Caution with the printing temperature: Keep print temperature below 225°C for extended periods of time to maintain material integrity.

  • Compatibility: PVA filament integrates seamlessly with most common adhesives, simplifying your print setup and ensuring a strong bond between layers.

  • Dissolution magic: PVA’s ability to dissolve in water adds a new dimension to your 3D prints. The dissolution speed depends on the volume of the printed object, amount of water and water temperature. Increasing the water temperature (up to 70°C) accelerates the dissolution process. Note that the water temperature should match the material you are printing PVA with to avoid deformation problems (e.g., when printing PLA with PVA, keep the water temperature at 40°C).

  • Environmentally friendly disposal: Excess PVA/water solutions can be conveniently disposed of down the household drain.

  • Versatile compatibility: PVA is compatible with most dual-extruder desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers, expanding your dual-material printing options.

  • Appropriate storage: Store PVA filament in a cool, dry place (15-25°C), away from UV light to significantly extend its shelf life. If you remove the spool from the vacuum-sealed packaging and plan to store it in a moderately humid environment, we recommend drying the material before printing to avoid quality issues.

 IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to its brittleness, the PVA is not suitable for multi-material systems such as Prusa MMU or Bambu Lab AMS. In this case, we recommend the VXL 90, which features better adhesion to the model material and is less moisture absorption.
